Audrey Janssen

After receiving my PhD in cell biology, I worked for several years in the medical device industry in various positions, as a marketer, project coordinator and project manager. I decided to return to academia because of my fascination with research and my desire to make an important social contribution. My international experience in both the academic and commercial sectors enables me to work pragmatically, results-oriented and in different types of organizational settings.

Working in the Research Affairs Department at Maastro and in the Clinical Data Science Unit at Maastricht University (2020/2023) has led me to bridge interdepartmental collaboration between Research Affairs and Clinical Data Science on funding and policy issues.

I facilitate external and internal grant applications at the Dutch, US and EU level and manage ongoing projects financially and administratively.  To this end, I collaborate with various research departments, including financial and legal departments in both clinic and university, and with partners and collaborators abroad. Additionally I track grant stages and project requirements and conduct other grant data analysis.
