I am a PhD student whose research focuses on the communication of AI prediction models to patients and clinicians. These models, which estimate treatment effects or the likelihood of side effects, can enable more informed and personalized treatment decisions for individual patients. However, AI models are often difficult to understand and interpret. Because different stakeholders have varying backgrounds and informational needs, communication must be tailored accordingly. My research aims to uncover what information these stakeholders want and need. This project is part of the AI-Ned fellowship awarded to Dr. Rianne Fijten, who supervises my work together with Dr. Olga Damman and Prof. Andre Dekker.
